Sintered Stone Countertop Support: Cabinets, Overhangs and Installation Approval
Sintered stone countertop support must be coordinated with the cabinet layout, seams, openings, edge construction and installation sequence before fabrication. The approved drawing should locate every support member, identify unsupported zones and assign each site measurement to a dated drawing revision.

Coordinate the Stone and Cabinet Drawings
Use one coordinated plan for the countertop, cabinets and appliances. Mark cabinet sides, rails, legs, panels, brackets, substrate limits, seams, openings and finished edges on the same drawing set.
Link the support plan to the countertop seam layout and the cutout approval schedule. Every seam and opening should have its adjacent support condition shown in plan and section.

Cabinet Perimeter
Show every cabinet side, end panel, rear rail and structural divider that carries the countertop.
Seam Lines
Locate the joint over a stable support zone and provide installation access for alignment and bonding.
Sink and Hob Bays
Map cabinet rails, appliance frames and dedicated sink supports without obstructing plumbing, ventilation or service access.
Appliance Gaps
Record the clear bay above dishwashers, under-counter refrigerators and other equipment, together with the specified support solution.
Overhangs
Dimension the projection, finished depth, bracket positions, end conditions and seating clearance in plan and section.
Waterfall Ends
Identify the vertical panel, top joint, floor interface, fixing access and relationship to the cabinet end.

Set the Overhang Before Slab Nesting
Approve the finished countertop depth, cabinet depth, projection and exposed edge before preparing the cutting layout. Add every bracket, leg and end panel to the coordination drawing.
The selected thickness, edge build-up and component geometry belong in the same approval package. Coordinate them with the sintered stone thickness guide and the countertop edge profile guide.
Include the support components in the quotation scope. Separate factory-supplied stone work from locally supplied cabinetry, brackets, substrate, adhesives and installation labor.
Support Around Openings and Joints
Sink Zone
Provide a dedicated sink support independent of the stone. Keep fixing points, plumbing connections and maintenance access visible on the cabinet drawing.
Hob Zone
Coordinate the opening with the appliance housing, ventilation route, heat shield, cabinet rails and service clearance.
Seam Zone
Provide stable bearing on both sides of the joint and maintain access for leveling, adhesive application and final alignment.
Narrow Stone Sections
Map the cabinet and support below narrow bridges between an opening, seam, edge or corner. Preserve handling access from fabrication through installation.
Define the Support System
Specify the bearing surface, substrate, rails, brackets, legs and fixing points by location. Use the approved fabrication and installation requirements for the selected product, thickness and component design.
Record material, section, spacing, orientation and installer responsibility for each support type. Coordinate adhesive and bedding materials with the sintered stone adhesive guide.
For cut-to-size orders, align the final support geometry with the countertop fabrication requirements before releasing production.

Site Survey and Measurement Record
Complete the site survey after the base cabinets, finished wall surfaces, end panels and appliance housings reach their final positions. Use the project datum and finished floor level on every measurement sheet.
Cabinet Line
Record the overall run, individual unit widths, front alignment, end-panel position and wall gaps.
Level Survey
Measure the cabinet top at corners, joints, appliance bays and changes of direction. Mark the highest point and every correction location.
Wall Survey
Capture wall shape, corners, columns, reveals, backsplash limits and finished surfaces that control the countertop outline.
Service Survey
Locate water, waste, power, gas, ventilation and cable routes relative to cabinet rails, brackets, seams and openings.
Access Survey
Record door, corridor, lift, stair and turning clearances together with the installation floor and lifting route.
Revision Control
Add the project name, room, survey date, drawing number, revision, surveyor and approval status to every sheet.
Transfer the accepted measurements to the shop drawings and issue one fabrication revision. Attach photographs of cabinet junctions, appliance bays, wall returns, overhang supports and restricted installation areas to the same record.

Installation Acceptance
Before Placement
Verify cabinets, support members, substrate, wall interfaces, services, access and component labels against the released drawing.
During Placement
